Rockstar has sold nearly 110 million GTA 5 copies, so a follow-up is unavoidable. With Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to the PC, we are looking ahead to the next move from Rockstar, which is likely to be GTA 6.
Considering that the recent blockbuster games of Rockstar appear to land four to five years apart, assuming GTA 6 is the next project and not Rockstar Table Tennis 2.

GTA 6 RELEASE DATE
When will GTA 6 arrive? If the usual period of growth of the series between entries is anything to go by between four and five years, we should have got GTA 6 in 2018.
But, with Rockstar focused solely on Red Dead Redemption 2 and its online variant, when we can expect it is up in the air.
We do know that when stunt actor Tim Neff’s CV surfaced claiming he had credits on Grand Theft Auto6 and Red Dead Redemption 2, it proved to be a fake.
It should have been clear, really: the CV did not balance Neff’s IMDB page, it had spelling errors, and Rockstar didn’t take it down immediately once the story was widely known.
An educated guess maybe 2022 or 2023 and not before that for sure!
What’s the proof for GTA 6?
It looks like the game is undoubtedly in some shape. GTA 6 has recently been listed on the resume of an artist working out of India.
Rockstar has purchased another huge Indian studio from Starbreeze’s struggle, suggesting that Rockstar is staffing up on art capital for their next big game. Nonetheless, a seemingly official announcement in-game saying GTA 6 was due out in 2019 turned out to be fake.
The most important thing we want to learn beyond a release date is where (and when) the GTA 6 will be set. It all flows from the option of Rockster town and decade. The return of GTA 5 to Los Angeles is setting us in for a return to Vice City.
In an interview with Develop during 2013, Rockstar North President Leslie Benzies again referred to the trifecta of chosen GTA cities by Rockstar.
