A Discovery of Witches Season 2 is Arriving on Netflix, This time Sarah Dollard and Susie Conklin are writing the second season, possibilities

With the end of A Discovery of Witches season one,  fans are waiting for news for its second season. Season 2 is expected to release in 2020. No official date for the trailer is out yet.


The mission is to locate a witch to tutor Diana and to find traces of Ashmole 782. Still, as the net of Matthew’s past tightens around them, they embark on a very different journey, one that takes them into the heart of the 1,500-year-old vampire’s shadowed history and secrets.

The show, which features a fashionable ensemble, also has a star cast behind the camera. Sarah Dollard and Susie Conklin have been tasked with writing the second season, and so there are high expectations. Conklin is also acting as an executive producer alongside Bad Wolf production company co-founders Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner. Lachlan MacKinnon and Harkness herself are also producers on the show.

New Cast Members

Newer cast members include Alex Kingston as Sarah Bishop (Doctor Who and Arrow, Valarie Pettiford as Emily Mather (Half & Half ), Daniel Ezra as Nathaniel Wilson, and Aisling Loftus as Sophie Norman. Aiysha Hart is also expected to return as Miriam Shephard alongside Edward Bluemel, who plays Marcus Whitmore.


A Discovery of Witches season 1 was trendy indeed, especially on Sky Network. Due to the immense love shown by fans and cross-generational love, the show has been renewed for two more seasons. The show is based on the All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness and will now be able to complete the story along with the books’ storylines. The second season is expected to continue along the lines of the second book, Shadow of Night. The third season will probably follow the last of the trilogy, The Book of Life.
