It’s no secret Marvel. It is planning a number of new projects as they recently announced multiple huge additions to the MCU and one of the most interesting reveals that has caught fans’ interest is a solo series for the beloved character: She-Hulk. Here’s everything we know so far about her TV debut!
When is it Releasing?
The series will be released on Disney+, similar to many of MCU’s new shows. It is expected to air sometime in 2022, but we don’t have an official release date yet. The series is scheduled to begin filming in Atlanta in August of this year.
Who Can We Expect to See as She-Hulk?
Marvel Studios has not announced anything official regarding casting details. However, it’s been rumoured that actress Alison Brie may step in for the role after Stephanie Beatriz, who was the most favoured choice by fans, revealed she wouldn’t be available because of scheduling clash with Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Casting information has been limited, but we got some details about the behind-the-scenes talent. Jessica Gao who won an Emmy for a popular Rick and Morty episode has reportedly been appointed the lead writer of the series. Dana Schwartz, author and comic writer for Deadpool, is also joining the writing team.
Do We Know What the Plotline is?
The series will base its storyline from the comic books, which has been confirmed to include She-Hulk’s origin story. Jennifer Walter, a lawyer, is actually Hulk/Bruce Banner’s cousin and Banner makes the decision to perform an urgent blood transfusion on her after she gets shot by a vengeful crime boss. In this process, some of Banner’s gamma radiation also gets transferred to her, and she transforms into She-Hulk.
Walters has no anger issues like Hulk, which makes it possible for her to keep her day job. She recently builds up her own legal practice too, in the comics.
According to some sources, She-Hulk may cross over into a future Avengers movie.
