Based on The Highway series book by C.J Box. The show gained massive popularity with its gripping plot, well-built characters, and splendid casts. Through the premiere of the first few episodes of season one of Big Sky, the show was renewed for a second season.
The show garnered some negative attention as the Rocky Mountain Tribal Leaders Council, Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, Global Indigenous Council, Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Association, and the Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs (UBCIC), including others, had sent a letter to ABC Entertainment, accusing the later of cultural insensitivity and appropriation.
However, instead of canceling, the show returned with its second season, proving the show’s popularity and introducing a brand new set of cast characters, perhaps they learned after the criticism faced in season 1. Season 2 has 30 episodes in the season; which first aired on September 30 2022 and new episodes air every Thursday on ABC.
Episode 11 Recap
Donald looks very very ill in this episode, with blood flowing from his wounds, with a high fever. He is hallucinating and going in and out of consciousness. He sees Rick Legarski’s ghost who indicates he is going to join him soon. Almost on the verge of death now, Scarlet tries desperately to save him and plans how she is going to get him much-needed medical help. She somehow gets a doctor to him and threatens him to aid Donald at gunpoint.
The episode ended with the disappearance of Max and Rachel, Max’s mother. Someone had apparently ransacked their house and abducted the two. Cassie and Lindor also accidentally discover Wolf, left for dead at his home by Ronald. They expect to get the most information from him but Wolf has his own conditions.
T-lock also receives a message from Bob asking for his money in exchange for the lives of the girls he kidnapped, Max and Rachel, which leads to the duo- Jenny and T-lock, on a mission to save the girls, but for T-lock, more to save his money.
Episode 12 Expectations
The last episode ends with the abduction of Max and Rachel after their house ransacked. Jenny sets on a mission to find the two missing women and risks’ it all as she partners with T-lock. She will soon find out why no one trusts T-lock and he might rather jeopardize the whole plan.
The trailer saw Ronald in much better health compared to the last episode where he almost died. Although he is in better health now, he is not fully recovered. And he, as well as Scarlett, is in danger. It is proven to be true as a tracking device had been implanted on Ronald which would lead Cassie and Mark to him.
Ren and Jag had their differences through the season. With Ren constantly being downgraded by her father and Jag stealing her idea and leaving her to do the behind the scene work.
