American Idol Season 20: Premiere Date
The show premiered on the 27th of February at 8 pm ET on ABC. The show will start with its traditional framework beginning from the auditions followed by selected contestants’ performances and finally the live results. The new episodes will likely come out on Sundays just like its previous seasons.
Who is the Host for the new season?
Ever since the first season, Ryan Seacrest has been the host and is expected to be the host for the new season as well. In the first season, Ryan Seacrest was accompanied by another co-host Brian Dunkleman, but from the second season, Ryan is working as the only host for the show.
Who are the Judges?
The new season will have the same set of judges – Katy Perry (Singer-Songwriter), Luke Bryan (Singer), and Lionel Richie (Singer-songwriter). The trio first debuted in Season 16 and the new season will be marking their 5th year as the judges. Previously, the show was judged by Paula Abdul (Singer), Simon Cowel (TV Personality), and Randy Jackson (Musician).
An important update for the new season is that the show’s mainstay advisor Bobby Bones won’t be returning to Americal Idol Season 20. He has his scheduled pack with another TV project.
There will also be some changes regarding the showrunner. Trish Kinane will be stepping down from the job and Megan Michaels Wolflick will be the next showrunner.
