November 6, 2021, witnessed the debut of “Arcane: League of Legends,” a series that didn’t only rule the heart of its viewers but also secured 1st rank on global Netflix Charts. Critics praised the series for its stunning animated artwork and fascinating characters. As season first of the series wrapped up with a tensed and thrilling cliffhanger on November 20, 2021, the online series streaming hub Netflix and Rio games announced the debut of the second season of the streamer’s hit animated series.
“We’re beyond happy about the positive response to ‘Arcane’s’ first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and [French animation studio] Fortiche to deliver our second installment,” said Alex Yee and Christian Linke, the co-creators of the series.
Arcane Season 2 Teaser
Netflix Greeked (@NetflixGreeked) has also posted a thirty-two seconds teaser of Arcane season 2. The post was captioned as –
“Ready yourselves, friends. Season 2 of Arcane is now in production.”
The same teaser was shared on the Twitter account of Arcane (@Arcaneshow) with a caption –
“Ready yourselves, friends. Season 2 of Arcane is now in production. Where’s a Hexagate when you need one?”
However, the teaser doesn’t reveal any other detail, and fans will have to wait for further clues regarding the series.
Release Date of Arcane Season 2
After the end of season first of the league of legends based animation series “Arcane,” the streamers have announced the continuation of the series with season 2. However, there isn’t any official confirmation regarding the release date of the series. If we look back at the release of the series’s first season, we can see the huge delay between the announcement and the release date.
The delay has already been addressed by the creators who found the Covid-19 pandemic responsible for turning a 2020 release into November 2021 release. Fingers crossed that there won’t be any additional disruptions in episode streaming, unlike last time.
As mentioned in the caption of the post shared on the Twitter account of Netflix Greeked (@NetflixGreeked), the good part is that season 2 is “in production,” which means the creators have already started working on the series, and we may anticipate it to come soon.
Arcane Season 2 Cast
Though the firms have not made any name clear yet, much of the key cast from the first season can be anticipated to be back for any sequel, which would include names like:
- Ella Purnell as Powder/Jinx
- Molly Harris as Young Caitlyn
- Hailee Steinfeld as Vi
- Harry Lloyd as Viktor
- Mia Sinclair Jenness as Young Powder
- Katie Leung as Caitlyn Kiramman
- Reed Shannon as Ekko
- Miles Brown as Young Ekko
- Toks Olagundoye as Mei Medarda
- JB Blanc as Vander and Bolbok
- Kevin Alejandro as Jayce Talis
We may expect the absence of Jason Spisak’s character, given that in episode 9 of Arcane’s first series (conclusion episode of the series), Spicak’s character Silco was killed – though flashbacks always remain as a possibility in series or stories.
Episode Count of Arcane Season 2
The last season of Arcane featured three chapters where each chapter included three episodes. The streaming hub is yet to announce the episode count for season 2 of the series. However, we may expect it to follow a similar schedule as the previous season.
