This is an American Horrorshow that was created by Warren Ellis. The main theme of the show is a Gothic horror video game that follows up the same title. The show is based on the adventures of a Dracula and the revenge that he seeks from the city named Wallachia. The show is basically very similar to Japanese anime.
The first season of the show was released in the year 2017 and soon after that, the show was renewed for the second season as well. The second season had a total of eight episodes. The second season came a year after, which is 2018. And thus in the year 2021, the show concluded after completing the fourth episode.
What Is The Show About?
Castlevania is about dark medieval fantasy. It derives its inspiration from a video game. The story is about the only survivor of the disgraced clan, named Belmont. This survivor was trying to save the Eastern European from coming to the verge of extinction because of Vlad Dracula, Tepes.
Why is Vlad Dracula Furious?
Vlad’s wife was burnt to death very brutally because she was accused falsely of witchcraft. Vlad on discovering this is insanely mad over the people of Wallachia and he has made a statement that the people of Wallachia will pay for his wife’s death with their lives.
He calls for a huge army of demons and this army of demons lives only to create fear and chaos amongst the people. To deal with this situation, hunter Trevor Belmont decides to go against the forces of Vlad Dracula. And to help Belmont, there is magician, SyphaBelnades and Dracula’s Dhampir’s son, Alucard.
Who is Dhampir?
Dhampir is usually a product of the Union between a vampire and a mortal being, usually, in these cases, the male would be the vampire, and the female would be the mortal one. Though the cases of female vampires going with the male mortals is a very rare theory.
Is it worth watching or not?
The story of Castlevania will definitely cast a spell on every viewer. Thus the show is very interesting and that makes it worth watching too. And being an adaptation of a video game and still giving you the vibes of the Japanese anime, what else could you ask in one show alone?
