The incidents are all caused by Danny Rolling, who is famous as Gainesville Ripper and will be shown to have murdered at least 5 people.
Now, these people were not at all old but mere students. It will also be revealed that previously he had killed 3 people making it 8 total murders by him. Rolling was said to have been under some demon’s influence and was killed in 2006.

The story of Gainesville Ripper has been able to greatly influence Kevin Williamson, thereby leading to the creation of Scream: The True Story.
