FBI: Most Wanted is a Television series, a spin-off to the much-acclaimed CBS drama – Dick Wolfe’s FBI. The American series premiered on January 7, 2020, and has been running for 3 seasons and counting. The series is about criminal profiling, and how The FBI’s Fugitive Task Force, led by Jess LaCroix track and captures criminals notorious for their doings. Unlike its parent show FBI, this show features more about behavioral psych and profiling and analyzing criminals.
Season 3: Major Developments
The show’s season 3 consisted of many major twists and turns, that fans don’t expect. The main character of the series- Jess LaCroix is shown to be gunned down and confirmed dead in the 8th episode of the series.
This event was although shocking but anticipated. Since Julian McMahon, the actor for Jess LaCroix had announced that he will leave the show after 3 seasons. Episode 14, titled “Shattered” showed Jess pursuing and profiling a killer, who they eventually tracked down to a hospital’s parking lot. Upon defending the injured woman, Jess was shot in the neck by the fugitive; thus killing off his character in an honorary manner.
Episode 15 followed suit to the previous climax, with characters mourning the loss of Jess. However, the show still featured the same format of tracking and profiling criminals and catching them. The episode felt incomplete and strange, due to the absence of the lead character. While the case was eventually solved and dusted, the 15th episode ended with a toast to Jess, who survived with his wife and kid, and to all his work for the FBI’s fugitive Task Force.
Season 3, Episode 16: What to Expect?
Still, without a confirmed appearance of a Leading character, it’ll be interesting to observe how the episode will shape up. As per the plot synopsis, we can see that the episode will feature more about Barnes; balancing her personal and professional life. With the team being short-handed, it’ll be a combination of personal and professional life balance for the team members.
The case in the upcoming episode is based in Vermont. As the team is assigned to pursue a married couple, who massacred their employees, as they grow illegal Marijuana. On the other hand, Barnes will get back to work with her objective of doing what she is great at, her work. But after the event of Jess’s death, she’ll choose between her time with her baby to bond with her or pursuing criminals.
Moreover, the episode will still not feature a central lead character; which will be weird for the FBI’s most wanted episode formats. In the light of Dylan McDermott suiting up to play the new lead, it is expected that his character- Remy Scott will slowly set up in these few upcoming episodes. And soon will air on television.
Season 3, Episode 16: Where and When to Watch?
The 16th episode titled – “Decriminalized” will air on CBS on Tuesday, at 9 pm ET in the USA. Also, the show’s latest episode will be available to stream on Paramount +, Amazon Prime Video, and also YouTube TV.
