House Of Cards Season 7 TV Show Poster

House of Cards, the American political drama based on the novel written by Michael Dobbs in 1989, was the part of discussion all around the world. It has received more love worldwide than criticism. The show has in total six seasons as of yet. However, the news for the seventh season is in the air, but it is terrible.

Here are the details you need to catch up on regarding the show.

Why is House Of Cards not getting renewed for a seventh season?

Well, the makers have made it official that House of Cards is not going to get a season seven. It is a piece of unfortunate news for all the fans out there who have been eagerly waiting to hear some good news amidst this global pandemic.

Looking at the reason why the show is not getting a renewal is pretty apparent. The news of Anthony Rapp allegedly calling out the lead actor Kevin Spacey of sexual assault is nothing new. It is more so horrifying because Rapp was 14 years old when sexually assaulted. Because of these allegations, the protagonist of the show Kevin Spacey, had to walk out of the show. It is because of this reason that renewal of the show is unlikely with the lead actor Kevin Spacey no longer being the part of the cast.

Is Netflix removing House of Cards altogether?

As we know, Netflix does timely exclusion for specific movies and shows.

Presently, rumours are that Netflix is planning to remove House of Cards from the platform given the controversy the show has given rise to. It is only natural for the streaming giant to want that to maintain its reputation.

How did we see House of Cards Season 6 end?

As Kevin Spacey got fired from the show after the sexual assault allegations, the writers had to change the plot inevitably. Thus, in the sixth season, we see Robin Wright playing the role of Claire Underwood become the new president of the USA. Claire, in the last season, appeared to destroy Franks’s image to protect her presidency.

The show ends with Claire Underwood stabbing Doug Stamper with a knife and killing him right away.

This uncertain ending has left the viewers with a lot of questions in their mind. Even though chances of a season seven happening doesn’t seem possible, we can expect the story to follow Claire’s lead if it does.

Just binged watched “House of Cards.” Hated when Kevin Spacey was gone. Great series, horrible ending. If the writers know that there isn’t going to be another season, why can’t they give the fans closure instead of leaving them hanging? As much as I loved watching the show, I’m sorry I did. The ending was as bad as the ending show of “Dexter.” Both on the same scale of pathetic and greatly disappointing.
