No Exit Movie Review

The newly released No Exit did not yet succeed to capture the hearts of the fans. The characters could not do justice to their roles. The plot got boring with time with silly dialogues from the characters. Most people didn’t like it yet and they believe that the movie will soon bury down under soon-to-release series and movies.

But the makers should still keep their hopes high as the movie may progress with time. The movie is a recent launch and some movies and series take their own time to pick up their pace. The movie was released on 25th February 2022. The fans of some thrillers and adventures can watch it now on Hulu!

The Comments of the Critics

The critics commented saying that the movie seems bland with no good plot or the plot breaking no new grounds with an epic unique storyline. It just seemed the movie had a great motive to scare the fans to the core but could not succeed to do justice to the way they delivered the story to the audience. The setting of the movie is criticized to be claustrophobic with no sense of why the story began the way it began.

What is the Storyline of No Exit?

The story revolves around a college-going drug addict named Darby who was on her way back from the rehabilitation center to go to her home. She gets caught in a mountain visitor centre with four others as she rests during a heavy blizzard.

She then finds a little kid being stuck inside a car and discovers that he is kidnapped. Unable to do anything she gets stuck in that place with few other people unaware of who among them is a kidnapper and who is innocent. Trapped, unable to trust the people around her she tries to somehow get out of the deadly trap.

 What Happens in the End?

The end was intense with a lot of fight scenes between Darby and the kidnapper. Darby fought her best to survive and in the end, she did survive with one other. She made herself feel numb from the pain that the kidnapper made her go through. She successfully calls the police only to kill the kidnapper.

In the last scene, she is in the rehabilitation center again where she is successfully 48 days clean with sound health. Her sister Devon comes to visit and the time they meet each other’s eyes the film ends. So seeing the happy ending one can somewhat assume that the movie will most probably not have a part two.

Should We Stream the Movie or Skip it?

Even with all the critics and low popularity of the movie, it deserves a one-time watch. The movie is not complicated enough and could be easily understood. By keeping the fans wondering if the protagonist makes out of the trap successfully. Even the critics with all the criticism for the movie at the end of their reviews mentioned that the movie is somewhat a good thriller and could be watched.

The movie is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Taylor Adams in 2017. The movie is directed by Damien Power.
