The winner is finally here. After a long and fierce competition, Krystal Versace made it to the top. In the final, she was lip-syncing to Dusty Springfield’s “You Don’t Own Me.” The ultimate Drag Queen received a stunning scepter, and she is ready to take the win home for her family.
Krystal called it the most amazing experience of her life. And now she says that she is ready for ruling “the f**king world.” The finale episode had premiered on Thursday, November 25, 2021. It was released on WOW Presents Plus at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT.
Who were the Top 3 Finalists in Season 3 of Drag Race UK?
After the exit of Vanity Milan in episode 9, it gave way to the top 3 finalists of the season. The competition was fierce between Ella Vaday, Krystal Versace, and Kitty Scott-Claus. Ella and Kitty ended up as the runner-ups. The runway theme for the finale was the final three eleganza extravaganza.
The main challenge for the finalists was to write and record their own verse. They also had to deliver a performance on RuPaul’s hit song, “Hey Sis, It’s Christmas.” The alternating judges for the episode included Graham Norton and Alan Carr.
Who is Krystal Versace?
Luke Fenn, who goes by the stage name of Krystal Versace, has reigned supreme in season 3 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. In drag, Krystal goes by the pronouns she/her and outside of pain by he/him. Krystal got herself the drag name in March 2019. She was born on October 10, 2001, and hails from London, England, UK.
After Vivienne and Lawrence Chaney were crowned the winners in the first and second season, respectively, Krystal followed in their footsteps in season 3. Krystal made history by being crowned as the youngest-ever winner at the show. When the show was being filmed, she was only 19 years old. On recounting how she got her stage name, she said that a romantic conversation with the guy had led her towards her name.
He suggested ‘Crystal,’ while she liked ‘Versace.’ A fiery mix-up of these two names gave it way. However, she later changed ‘C’ to ‘K,’ hence making it ‘Krystal Versace.’ She is the first Drag Queen of Cypriot descent to make it to the show.
Will there be Season 4 Go Drag Race UK?
Fans will be excited to know that Drag Race UK has already been renewed for another season. RuPaul had released a video on Instagram on October 27, 2021, calling out the Drag Queens to come ahead for the casting. Registration was scheduled to be winded up on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Further details and release date for the upcoming season have not been revealed as of yet.
