A journey of eight ‘nice’ seasons and 153 ‘toit’ episodes comes to a teary-eyed end with the eighth season of NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine rolling out. Be it the super funny Jake Peralta or the disciplinarian Captain Holt, the precinct gave all the loyal fans a journey to remember. Some fans still drool over Andy Samberg’s schoolboy antics in the pilot. The teddy bear camera scene, where he beat the bookworm and his future wife Amy Santiago in catching the criminal, is still alive in the fan’s minds.
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of the most-watched sitcoms to have premiered on television. With COVID 19 pushing the whole population inside their houses, the show’s creators had a blast with the viewership of the final season touching skies. Fans were waiting how the show would end, and believe us, and the ending was fulfilling to the eyes!

ToggleWhat Went Down in the Eighth Season?
The fans were left searching for tissues when they saw the amicable Jake Peralta leave the Nine-Nine. Why he did so, the fans wondered! Was Jake up to another one of his pranks? Was this a surprise coming in for another season? This was what the fans had thought. But we have seen Peralta mature over the episodes, and he finally left the precinct to raise his son Mac. Coming to the meticulous teacher’s pet, Amy Santiago, we see her becoming the Sergeant to the Commissioner.
Even though she has transgressed into several professional promotions, seeing her become the Sergeant to her favorite Commissioner Holt was a dream come an actual moment for many. The show did not leave a single strand of the story behind with the finale. Rosa left the precinct to pursue her profession as a private detective. Terry finally became the Captain of the 99th precinct.
The starry-eyed Charles Boyle is still a detective under Captain Terry Jeffords. Somewhere down the memory lane, a character like Boyle will leave a mark for his unconditional dedication and love for the 99th precinct and his beloved friend Jake Peralta.
What to Expect if the Brooklyn Nine-Nine is to Make Another Appearance?
If we follow the updates given by the production house, the ninth season of the blockbuster sitcom is not in talks. However, we racked our creative brains and thought about what would be the expectations of a Nine-Nine fan if the show goes on for another season. We would like to see Mac grow up as a teenager and Jake trying to be the perfect father. We would also love to see Commissioner Holt retire, and an emotional speech would be a cherry on the cake.
When Jake said in the finale that goodbyes are tough, we felt it. Everything that we had not expected in the finale took place with Hitchcock finally winning the heist. Moreover, the finale was perfect, with many of Jake’s old chums making an appearance. Be it the Cannibal from Jake’s time in prison or Pimento. The fans were quite satisfied with the ending that they got. Whatever the case might be, the Nine-Nine signed out on a great note!
