After the release of episode 8 on December 16, 2021, fans were eager for the next episode, but the airing of the next episode was delayed by more than a month. Finally, it is officially announced that episode 9 will air on February 24, 2022, at 8 pm ET/ 7 pm CT.
Episode 8 Recap
Episode 8 of Season 5 took many emotional turns as Victoria overstepped her duties while saving an abused woman. A woman had a panic attack, and the team was called in for the rescue. Victoria noticed something unusual about the woman’s behavior and immediately caught on to the situation. She immediately took the woman and baby away from the house, but things got complicated as the woman’s husband filed a complaint to the police.
But everything ended well, and the husband was arrested for domestic abuse. Victoria was penalized for breaking the protocol. Things get complicated for Victoria as she confesses to Theo about her and Jack kissing. On the other hand, the rest of the team faced a difficult situation with a man stuck between two cars in his driveway. Fortunately, Ben went into his surgeon mode and tried to save the man.
Ben and Carina did everything in their power to stabilize the man’s condition, and just when the situation took a downturn, Physical Response Team arrived at the venue and immediately took the man to Grey Sloan Hospital. Back at the firehouse, Carina and Maya announced to everyone that they would have a baby. Later on, Miranda bailey and Pru visited the team to land on good news; the crushed man survived. Ben was delighted with happy tears.
What to Know Before Watching?
Episode 8 was an emotional rollercoaster ride for the viewers. Victoria was benched for going out of line to save an abused woman. She also confessed to Theo about her and Jack kissing, which further complicated her situation. Finally, Andy tried to suppress the divorce plea by hiding the divorce papers in her freezer.
What can we expect from episode 9? Will Dr. Owen Hunt survive? We can expect Ben to do everything in his power to save his friend’s life. The next episode will most likely reveal a crossover between Station 19 and the Dr. Grey series as Dr. Hunt is rushed to Grey Sloan.
