Director Christopher Miller is back with a brand new Murder Mystery comedy Television Series Afterparty. The series had begun the shoot on November 11 2020, and finished by February 17, 2021. Critic Olivia Rutigliano has described this series as a whodunit genre under murder mystery.
The storyline is set up in a mansion at the cliff’s edge where high schoolers meet for their reunion afterparty. A batchmate, Xavier, is killed, and Detective Danner is in charge of solving the murder mystery. She starts interrogating, one by one, all the suspects and starts with the most prominent person- Aniq. Three people are interrogated, and all of them have given their perspectives with episodes in their name.
So now comes the central question: Where can we stream it? But before we answer this question, let’s see the story so far.
Story So Far
Xavier is found dead near the beach, which is situated below his mansion. There are seven suspects here, and Detective Danner started her interrogation with Aniq, followed by Brett and Jasper. All three people have said the story from their perspective.
Like how in episode 1, Aniq and Zoe almost kiss, but her ex-husband interferes, and how they land up at Xavier’s house. Episode 2 shows how Brett wants to save his family with Zoe and wants good for his daughter, and that’s explained as an action plot.
The third episode is like a high school musical, how Jasper explains the story as a song. Like how she saw Chelsea with Xavier, and Xavier was dead by the time he went to get Aniq. SO the next in line for interrogation is Chelsea.
Where To Watch?
This is an Apple TV original series, but there’s good news for non-subscribers. The first episode of Afterparty is uploaded on YouTube and is available on AppleTV+’s official channel. After this, all the other series will be uploaded exclusively on AppleTV+ with a subscription, of course. The subscription starts from $4.99 a month with a seven-day free trial for new users.
When To Watch?
There are a total of 8 episodes in this series, and different writers write each episode. The first three episodes were released on January 28 2022, and the next episode will premiere on February 4 2022. The following episodes will air on February 11, 18, and 25, and the final episode will air on March 4, 2022, putting an end to the mystery.
What Is In Store For Season 4?
Chelsea is the fourth episode written by Bridger Winegar. Here we can expect the story from Chelsea’s perspective, how she proves herself innocent in this case and how she also hated Xavier. We can also expect her to reveal why she is the way she is, and also can expect Jennifer #2’s finding who has been missing till now.
All to date have shown some of the other reasons to hate Xavier, and it has built excitement for all of us.
Star Cast
The series consists of Tiffany Haddish as Detective Danner, Sam Richardson as Aniq, Zoë Chao as Zoë, Ike Barinholtz as Brett, Ben Schwartz as Jasper, Ilana Glazer as Chelsea, Jamie Demetriou as Walt, Dave Franco as Xavier.
