“The Batman” has released a new international teaser trailer, featuring footage from the upcoming superhero movie that has never been seen before. Bruce Wayne is played by Robert Pattinson, with Paul Dano playing the role of The Riddler and Colin Farrell portraying Penguin, as well as Zoe Kravitz, who is Catwoman and Andy Serkis playing Alfred in The Batman.
The movie was created by Matt Reeves (known for blockbusters like Coverfield, Let me in). the Japanese branch of Warner Bros let a new international teaser relate to the movie. In the trailer, Dano’s villainous character says that he is there to reveal the truth about this city. Batman fans have speculated that the trailer suggests that Batman’s nemesis, the Joker, is coming.

The Joker
According to the actor’s sibling, Barry Keoghan (who will play Druig in Eternals) will portray The Joker in this movie. Several assumptions have been reported since then to support this theory, such as an article in The Hollywood Reporter that Warner Bros is reportedly considering two cuts of The Batman – one with and one without Barry Keoghan. This would suggest that Barry is going to play an important role in the film.
The Joker is only visible behind Bruce Wayne during the new trailer’s shot of the Riddler’s conspiracy board (above). Lastly, the initial statement in the teaser, which is written in Japanese, clearly does mention The Joker – which is obviously pretty self-explanatory, and the exact translation programs confirm that it roughly means “The Joker crashes the beginning.”
Batman’s Secret Is Known By The Riddler
From the very first teaser trailer, fans have long believed that The Riddler (Paul Dano) may understand Batman’s identity and harbour grudges against the Wayne family.
Thankfully, there is now further key to weigh in with that thinking. Alongside the team showing a young Paul Dano watching the Waynes, the Riddler also reveals that he’s here to learn the truth about the city. He also glances at Bruce Wayne from the gallery during the funeral seen in the first trailer, and most importantly, says they have been doing everything to get in contact.
The Mad Hatter
The Mad Hatter is also rumoured to make an appearance as a drug dealer, starting off as one of Batman’s biggest villains. Since the 1960s Batman TV series, the character has only been seen in the Batman Arkham series. Barry Keoghan may actually play The Joker in this movie, rather than Barry Keoghan himself.
The creepy-looking individual on the left of the trailer wasn’t played by Barry Keoghan, and he doesn’t wear a hat, but this character could well be a drug dealer who plays a significant part in the movie.
Barry Keoghan As Joker in Batman 2022?
The fans of Barry Keoghan are naturally sceptical that he is merely portraying Stanley Merkel of the GCPD. Stanley is the first partner of FBI Commissioner Jim Gordon but is later murdered by the mob in the comic books Batman: Year One and Batman: Dark Victory. Director Matt Reeves has, however, indicated that Batman: The Long Halloween was a major inspiration.
An array of villains from Batman’s Rogues’ Gallery take on the Caped Crusader in this storyline. The comic has villains such as Catwoman, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, and The Riddler. The Clown Prince of Crime may make a surprise appearance in the film since more villains are expected in the film. Furthermore, a picture in the international trailer has fans believing that they can see The Joker behind it.
