Previously on The Gilded Age, George Russel’s train crashes led to the death of five people. The train accident was caused due to a worn-out axle. George is determined to find out the employee responsible for the mishap. He hires Pinkerton Detectives to look into the matter.
Bertha gets elected as the director of the Red Cross Board and Anne Morris is not happy with this development. Mrs. Morris blames Russel for her husband’s death. The episode ends with Agnes learning the whereabouts of Bannister. She feels betrayed and leaves the scene while whispering to Bannister, “Heads have rolled for less.”
