Westworld is back with its season 4 and is packed with a stunning cast, a good, or should say the, and great filming locations.
The show has a full-blown case of Ed Harris, Teresa Thompson, Jeffery Wright, James Marsden, and Thandie Newton. Arron Paul will make his appearance in the 3rd season of the show. The show’s plot is as same as the movie from 1973 movie of the same name.
The setup is based on the near future, where robots developed enough, and they are on the border of human consciousness and human life. Season 3 expanded the Westworld locations by shooting in Valencia, Singapore, and Catalonia.
Season 1 Filming Locations
The Sweetwater town was reeled in the motion picture studio of Melody Ranch in Newhall; the Santa show was also filmed in Paramount Ranch in Agoura, where the Escalante church is located. The town of Las Muda’s is a Mexican setup in Veluzat Motion Picture Ranch in Santa Clarita. Backlot Street and Mexican street is also used to shoot some scenes.
The scene where trains were involved was filmed on Western and Fillmore Railway in Santa Clarita, owned by 3 Hollywood studios. Some riding scenes were placed in the scenery of Monument Valley on the border of Arizona and Utah.
Other scenes were shot in Castle and FIsher Valley, Delos Arrival Terminal at LA Conventional Center. The first episode of the Westworld was shot in Dead Horse Point on River Colorado in Utah.
Season 2 Filming Locations
Season 2 had Glen Canyon and Lake Powell in the library of their locations. Other locations include Fort Forlorn Hope and Santa Clarita’s Movies Ranch. Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Delos Mansion ( La Villa Contenta), Millard House, or La Miniatura in Pasadena. Raj World in Langham Hotel in Pasadena, Shotgun World Park, Pasadena’s Huntington Library Garden. The 10th episode was shot in California, the valley beyond Trona Pinnacles.
Season 3 Filming Locations
Just like the last two seasons, season 3 had also been shot in beautiful locations. The locations include Ion Orchard and Wisma Atria in Singapore, Stadium MRT in Singapore, Helix Bridge in Singapore, Oasia Hotel in Singapore, LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore,
Marina One in Singapore, Parkroyal on Pickering in Singapore, Besalú in Catalan province in Girona, Spain, Besalú in Catalan province in Girona, Spain, Monument Valley in Arizona, La Fábrica in Barcelona, Spain.
Season 4 Filming Locations
Season 4 of the show is filmed in Nevada, California, especially in Santa Clarita and New York. The major photography for the season began in June 2021 and ended in July 2021.
New York
The majority of the Westworld season 4 is shot in the most populated city of the US, New York. The production team camped un in SoHo and FiDi (Financial District) in Manhattan to film some major scenes of the season.
Santa Clarita, California
The team came back to Santa Clarita to shoot some of the scenes here. Previous seasons of the show is filmed in Santa Clarita. Especially they used Ranch Studio at 24715 of Newhall.
Nevada
Some of the shots of season 4 were also filmed on the famous Hoover Dam, which is situated on the border of Nevada and Arizona. The Dam was built between 1931 and 1936, and it is a full concrete dam in Black Canyon on the Colorado River. The Dam is so popular that many tourists around the world visit it each year in all the seasons.
