Taylor Mary Hurt, a beloved Chopped contestant and a rising star in the world of culinary, tragically passed away on November 29, 2020. Her untimely death at the age of 30 left many fans, friends, and family members shocked and wondering about her journey and the legacy that she left behind.

Taylor Hurt, born on August 6, 1990, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, had a great passion and love for food and cooking from a very young age. Taylor Hurt passed away on November 29, 2020. Her family members never revealed the cause of her death, which resulted in many speculations online. Unverified reports hinted at an accidental overdose, but it was never confirmed. They chose to celebrate and remember her life instead of revealing so as to why she died out of love and respect for her. No one knows how she died and what circumstances led her to her death. She may no longer be with us, but her love for her art of cooking still lives through her creations and the lives that she inspired.

About The TV Show Chopped

Chopped is an American cooking TV show. In Chopped, 4 chefs compete with each other, going through 3 challenging rounds of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. In the end, only one wins and takes away the reward. The show was first premiered back in 2009. There are different tournaments held with different rewards. Currently, the show is going strong with 52 seasons and is a long-running cooking show on the Food Network.

The show Chopped has had various judges over its long period of time. Some of them are Marc Murphy, Chris Santos, Scott Conant, Ted Allen, Maneet Chauhan, Geoffrey Zkarian, Alex Guarnaschelli, Elizabeth Karmel, Christian Petroni, Eddie Jackson, Angie Mar, Giorgio Rapicavoli, Tiffani Faison, Jordan Andino, and many more.    

A few of them are Einat Admony, Gavin Jobe, Maneet Chauhan, Nick Wallace, Brooke Sien, Brian Rijjenbach, Joe Sasso, Nong Poonsukwattna, Jason Stude, Mario Tolentino, Celeste Rogers, Tanya Cauthen, Caitlyn Napolitano, Airis Johnson, Emily Chapman, Aarthi Sampath, Kathy Fang, and Florian Wehrli, and others.

The biggest opportunity in Taylor Hurt’s career was when she got to compete on the Food Network’s show Chopped. With the show’s theme of cooking under high pressure, she always showed her culinary skills and resilience as a chef. The episodes that were aired around 2021 revealed her art of cooking to a wider global audience.

Many fans were charmed by her newly invented dishes and her ability to compete on the show under high pressure. Taylor Hurt’s appearance on the show Chopped was a reminder to many of just the beginning of her bright future. However, this dream was tragically cut short.
