There’s still quite a bit of time before we go into the next season in Fortnite, but leaks have already started to come in and people are ready for a change. Epic Games has a habit of shaking things up every season to keep things fresh for players who may have been playing the game since its initial release. Granted some ideas weren’t as successful as others, it looks like the next season for Fortnite is still a big question mark for people; will it be worth getting the battle pass for or not? Of course, there will be new Fortnite items to be introduced that players can use in the game and we all know that there will be no shortage of new skins that can be bought in the Fortnite shop.
Here are the things that you can expect to see in Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3
So what can we expect in Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3? Know all the answers to that and more as we discuss the leaks plus possible changes to the map!
First of All, Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3 is Delayed
There’s no use groaning and whining about it now because Epic Games confirmed it in April 2020 that the new season will be delayed. Instead, what they did was extend Chapter 2: Season 2 until early June 2020. Epic Games promises that new challenges, fresh never-before-seen gameplay, and more will await players should they come back next season to play Fortnite. While the current season offers a lot such as agent skins, new Fortnite items, unique missions, and even a Travis Scott concert for everyone to enjoy in the comfort of their own home, there are still problems that were left unaddressed by the company. Viewership count has gone down a bit as well thanks to the emergence of Valorant. The would-be challenger to the throne took the gaming world by storm and it continues to dominate streams on Twitch and even Mixer. All in all, it looks like we just have to be patient and wait for the next season.
The Main Theme Will Be Water
If you can’t swim, get your floaters and lifejackets ready because it looks like the main theme for Fortnite’s next season is water. A Fortnite leaker who goes by the handle ‘FortTory’ has found some Chapter 2 Season 3 posters in the game’s files through data mining. Two posters were shown. One of which is Meowscles looking like he’s taking a quick dip to freshen up, while the other poster shows a house floating above the water with the use of a rubber ring with a huge shark underneath that looks to be guarding it. Players are debating if this might mean that a good chunk of the map could end up flooded or somewhat submerged as a result of some sort of catastrophe that will happen at the end of Season 2. Whatever stories there may be, you can be sure that there will be water involved for the next season!
What’s more, there will be map changes made for next season. This is a common trend for Fortnite and happens in every season, so expect to see some new or even old things pop up for Chapter 2: Season 3.
Expect New Skins
What kind of new season would it be without a new batch of skins for players to buy? Expect new skins that will surely tempt you into buying some V-bucks. Since Season 3 is coming in early summer, it’s very possible to see some old summer skins make a comeback like the Sun Tan Specialist and Sun Strider. Summer Drift might appear as well as the skin fits well with the theme; however, there’s still no news about what the new skins will look like.
Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3 is shaping up to be a fun-filled season that has summer vibes written all over it. Besides new Fortnite items, there’s still a lot that we don’t know about. But what we’re sure of is that the main theme for next season will at least be related to water thanks to those leaks. So what are you looking forward to the most for the next season?
