She thinks that Casey is trying to puzzle out what all works and what brings her peace and happiness while everything around her is chaotic.
However, she has grown up while being in the chaos, and her family has also been in turbulence and tried to deal with it by easing it out. Even though she is still a teenager, she is beautifully playing the role of the protector of the family. But now, Casey has started developing these feelings for her girlfriend, Izzie. And season three ends with Casey’s first public kiss with Izzie.
