A political, action-comedy movie that depicts the story of host Dave skylark and the show’s producer Aaron Rapaport who traveled to North Korea to interview the country’s leader Kim Jong Un. Before departing from America, the storyline faces switch twists and turns when a CIA agent approaches them and requests them to kill the country’s dictator. Coming as a shock to them, Dave and Adam eventually accept the offer and move forward with their secret mission.

Though the filmmakers haven’t confirmed yet or given an official statement regarding the sequel of this movie, ‘The Interview.’ Even though Skylark and Rapaport’s characters have done enough from their side, the story couldn’t do wonders in front of the critics and badly dropped on the box office. It is a movie that later may become a classic for its depiction on such a controversial issue wherein real people are involved.

Even the country North Korea called that this film depicts the country’s leader in a bad way, and it may become “a random act of terror and act of war.” The response acquired attention from people but at the same time, threats and cyberattacks too.

The Idea of the Story
The idea behind the movie started in the late 2000s when they developed the story for the assassination of Kim Jong il. After Kim Jong il died in 2011 and Kim Jong Un acquiring the succession of the North Korean leader, Rogen and Goldberg made changes in the script, which was initially meant for Kim Jong il. Still, in 2011 when his son acquired the place of a dictator in North Korea, they shifted the story towards him and his character and presented the story in 2014.
