In the therapy, he reveals that Homer, in his teens, and his father goes on a road trip to find his mother after he apparently received a postcard from her.
However, it is later revealed that his mother Mona was on the run from the FBI, and it was the FBI who sent him a postcard to tempt her out from hiding. Homer made a decision to always stick with his dad. The therapist finds a way to resolve the issue. At the end of the episode, Homer takes his wife, Marge and his children to a fancy restaurant as a Mother’s Day surprise.
