In CBS, the shows’ ratings determine its fate of renewal and cancellation. With already three successful seasons, the FBI’s crime investigation: Most Wanted is expected to renew for the fourth season. In the latest season of FBI, there is a noticeable drop in ratings and viewers, but even with the decline, the show still manages to be on CBS’s top 20 drama list.
The show still proves to be excellent with the slipping views and ratings. According to TV Series Finale, it is on number 7 out of 20 scripted dramas on the network. It is even one of the strongest shows on the broadcast networks on Tuesday night. There is no reason why CBS won’t be interested in renewing it for more episodes, twists and seasons!
But there is still no official announcement of the renewal of the show. We just have to wait to watch more thrilling crimes and excellent case solving on a Tuesday night.
The Cast of the Show
The series revolves around Jess LA Croix (Julian McMahon), Sheryll Barnes (Roxy Sternberg), Hana Gibson (Keisha Castle-Hughes), Ivan Ortiz (Miguel Gomez) and Kristin Gaines (Alexa Davalos) as the five leads solving crimes in the United States.
The Storyline and What to Expect in the Fourth Season
The series is made by Dick Wolf, who is an Emmy award winner. FBI: MOST WANTED is a crime drama that focuses on the capture and arrest of the most wanted criminals in the United States by the expert members of the Fugitive Task Force, which is an organization of officials that captures and arrests the most wanted criminals that are on the Bureau’s Most Wanted list. It is led by Jess La Croix, an expert tracker.
The team includes Special Agent Sheryll Barnes, Special Agent Hana Gibson, who has a quick wit and excellent computer knowledge and hacking skills and Special Agent Kenny Crosby, who is a young Army vet and a farm boy who knows abundantly about weapons and tactics, Special Agent Ivan Ortiz, a transplant from Los Angeles with a street cop’s instincts and a gift for undercover work; and their new member, Special Agent Kristin Gaines.
The show is all about the fugitives and the officers’ furious cat and mouse race. The show was created by Rene Balcer and produced by Wolf Entertainment and was first premiered on January 7, 2020. It was last renewed in September 2021 with no official announcement of the fourth season.
The series revolves around the FBI’s Fugitive Taskforce, a unique and expert team designed to capture and arrest the most wanted criminals of the United States. This show is more about profiling and analyzing fugitives, unlike the two other FBI shows that focus more on crime and investigation than arresting and tracking the criminals.
Recent Changes in the Storyline
The storyline already saw several changes in the third season, with a new character replacing an original series regular and giving a surprise farewell to Kenny. Actress Roxy Sternberg is pregnant, but it is safe to say that in the series, there will be no changes made with Sheryll Barnes as in the show, she is already married and has a baby boy.
It is assumed that we will see less of Sheryll Barnes in action throughout season four. It is expected that the show might use a double according to the character’s need in the storyline. Will we get to witness another season giving us an adrenaline rush? To find out, stay tuned for the latest news about the series!
