The first season came out on November 16, 2018. On December 5, 2018, Netflix renewed the show for a second season. The second season will hit Netflix on February 13, 2020. Just like the first season, the second season will also have ten episodes. In 2015, Narcos Mexico is a total reset of Netflix’s original series Narcos. Narcos is supposing to have four seasons, but Netflix makes announcements that they would reset the fourth season with an entirely new cast. Diego Luna will return as Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo and so will Scoot McNairy as Walt Breslin. What is the story so far, and what is the plot for season 2?

The show is set in the 1980 Mexico drug war and is based on real events. The show is about a DEA agent who moves from California to Mexico with his wife and son. He soon realizes the dangers of taking on the biggest cartel in Mexico. Soon a chain of tragic events unfolds, disrupting the drug trade and igniting the drug war, which will continue for years.
At the end of season one, DEA finds the body of Kiki Camarena, who was tortured and killed. Meanwhile, Felix plans to take back his leadership while kicking Isabella out of the picture. Neto is capture for betraying Felix, and DEA starts Operation Leyenda in Mexico to finally end Guadalajara Cartel, once and for all.
The second season will follow DEA Agents taking on the cartel to get back on them for killing Kiki. Meanwhile, Felix will start raising his empire again. The season will bring us closer to the historical Mexico Drug War. The trailer for the second season is out now.
