How Did He Die?
As Per the Allen County, Indiana Coroner’s office’s confirmation to WANE 15, Caleb died of natural causes. The actual cause of the death and the location of the death has yet not been released or confirmed.
But if the statements of Lillard that he posted on Instagram have to be taken into consideration which stated “he’s suffering real-life issues” then it can be assumed that he was going through some mental illness but yet again there has been no official statement on what exactly caused his death or how he died.
So, we cannot confirm that yet and till now it can only be said that he has died from natural causes which were revealed as the official statement.

Who Was He?
The 6 foot 9 Caleb Swanigan was a former NBA player, a first-round pick by the Trail Blazers, and played for 3 years with the Blazers and Sacramento Kings. He was chosen by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft. He in total played 75 games of NBA.
He was awarded the title of Mr. Basketball in the state of Indiana. Before entering the NBA, he was a player for Purdue University where he received a degree in Educational History. He was ranked ESPN’S top Prep Players in 2015’s national class when he was playing for Purdue Boilermakers.
He spent his early years without a family and was later taken in by a family. In 2019 he also released some songs and organized and coordinated a charity event that can benefit the homeless people.
During the two seasons that he played with the Blazers and the Sacramento Kings, he had to struggle with his weight but then weight was not something that was stopping his career in any way.
He was a McDonald’s All-American even before he started playing for Purdue. He even helped the US U17 and U19 national team to grab the gold medals in their respective World Championships. With Purdue Boilermakers he was the Big Ten Player Of the Year.
He even broke the school’s single-season record for rebounds and double-doubles. Apart from his game as mentioned earlier, he was involved in music and performed under the stage name of ‘Slyy5jackk’.
