Idris Elba, a brazen commercial negotiator, stars in the new series Hijack. Hijack, a new thriller for Apple TV+, is destined to be your next breath-holding watch as it combines real-time storytelling to depict the gradual progression of a plane hijacking. Hijack Season 1 Episode 3 is set for a release date.
The series, starring Idris Elba as Sam Nelson, “follows the journey of a hijacked plane as it makes its way to London over a seven-hour flight, and authorities on the ground scramble for answers,” per the synopsis.
Elba is the show’s star, but the cast also includes Archie Panjabi, Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, and others who have won Emmys.

Given that Hijack’s first trailer was released just a month ago, during the month of May 2023 and that the video has already received over 3 million views, it is reasonable to conclude that people are already anticipating this suspenseful thriller.
Hijack has a total of seven episodes, which corresponds to the seven-hour journey between Dubai and London that takes place during the course of the show. Real-time storytelling just heightens the stress; a weekly release schedule would help keep viewers guessing as to how things will turn out. On Wednesday, August 2, Hijack’s last episode is scheduled for release.
