For Life is unlike any other show we have seen. I appreciate and admire its portrayal of reality and tackling social issues on a personal level. The show did not perform well on live television, as opposed to most fans, resulting in low ratings. The show is not problematic in any way. Most TV show enthusiasts do not seem to be interested in this show. For Life, Season 3 may be renewed, so the question arises: When will it air?
About For Life: Season 3
It might surprise those of you who don’t know the show, but For Life deals with racism within the criminal justice system as well as the social construct as a whole. In this show, a real person called Pinnock named Isaac Wright Jr is portrayed as a critique of a wide range of social issues. There is a story in this book about the conviction of a man for a crime he did not commit, which results in him being sentenced to life in prison.
In the application of the law, he was wrongfully convicted. Based on an actual event, For Life tells the story of the ins and outs of a problematic system. Following a conviction and incarceration, Pinnock becomes a lawyer; he starts defending inmates and himself as well. It is his desire to reclaim his love and return to his family that drives him. It is all because of circumstances beyond his control he lost.
As he travels towards freedom, he comes up against many hurdles and is confronted with some harsh truths. He even starts a romantic relation alongside a prison warden in the novel. As a result, our perception of a flawed legal system, as well as the racism that still pervades our society, is challenged in this gripping drama. As fans of the series, we deserve a proper conclusion to Pinnock’s story in For Life Season 3.
What Happens in For Life?
Even though For Life is a wonderful show, the producers and networks have not received their expected response. It was the least liked and watched show on the ABC channel after airing on the ABC network. There wasn’t much love for the show, and its figures were low compared to other shows on the channel. Despite its failure on live television, the series has had a better response on digital platforms.
Has it been Canceled?
ABC canceled the show after it received a poor rating, but Jackson is doing everything he can to keep it going. IMDb TV recently added the show to its platform, allowing viewers to watch the first two seasons. The show will continue to be available for streaming on IMDb TV.
Because IMDb TV is free and ad-supported, it has a much greater opportunity to reach a much wider audience and those who do not currently subscribe to a streaming service. Thus, everyone will be able to see the show and get to know it better, and the social impact will be more significant. As part of his strategy, Curtis Jackson is also attempting to bring on a number of prominent figures who can support the show.
Season 3 of For Life: Revival
ABC canceled For Life, but IMDb TV picked it up. Now that the show is an IMDb TV Original, it could possibly return for a second season. Even though IMDb has not yet announced For Life Season 3 yet, it seems likely that it will do so eventually. In addition to the series cast license originally being extended, the platform and showrunners clearly expressed their desire to keep it alive. The future of this series looks really bright, and I am eager to see how it moves forward.
