Although the worldwide pandemic has caused several movies to be pushed back, a couple is finally back in the limelight. At a time like this, some of these movies are coming back to give people some laughs and entertainment during such grim times.
Scheduled for June 16, the sequel to the famous ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’ is finally releasing.
Who is in the Movie?
This action-packed comedy sequel called “The Hitman’s Bodyguard’s Wife,” and we will see Ryan Reynolds coming back to play his role as the bodyguard Michael Bryce. The movie also has Samuel L. Jackson continuing his role as the hitman Darius Kincaid, Salma Hayek continuing her role as his wife Sonia, and Richard E. Grant playing the role of Mr. Seifert. In addition to these familiar faces, there are new additions, including Morgan Freeman and Frank Grillo, and Antonio Banderas.
The movie has been in the works for quite a while now. Especially since the sequel announced soon after the first movie made over 176 million dollars worldwide. However, the trailer released only recently after much speculation about the date of release. The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard supposed to release last summer on August 28. But owing to the pandemic it is repeatedly shifting until this year.
What is the First Movie About?
In the first film, we introduced to the former triple-A protection agent, Michael Bryce. Reduced to a for-hire bodyguard after a mishap on a job. He is desperate to take on an assignment and prove his capabilities and skill. Hoping to do this, he accepts a job assignment from Interpol, which tasks him to transport the famous international assassin, Darius Kincaid, from Manchester to the Hague. Although seemingly straightforward, the trip is not only long but proves to be extremely dangerous since Kincaid is on his way to testify against a Belarusian dictator.
This makes both of them target murder. Couple with a bunch of differences and petty fights between the two and this race against time and death is an entertaining couple of hours of action and comedy.
How Does the New Movie Pan Out?
In the new trailer, it is clear that Michael is once again assigned a job that will keep him on his toes. Even though his therapist has asked him to leave the bodyguard position in his past. Despite being unlicensed and still under several keen eyes and criticism. Bryce takes up the job to not only protect Darius but his more dangerous and unpredictable wife. And, the infamous con artist is known internationally as Sonia Kincaid. On this mission, Bryce discovers that the risks are far more than before.
Driven slowly to madness, the three get too deep into an adventure that takes them across the world. Before they know it, the three and their skills are all that can protect Europe from the wrath of a powerful madman (Antonio Banderas)who is seeking revenge. Once Michael and his charges become the new targets of this influential madman, there is no looking back.
Since the movie has been scheduled to release in the theatres, it is important to remember to stay safe if you plan to watch it at the earliest. Take the necessary precautions, and have a good time watching the film that shows promising humor even in just the trailer.
