Created by Aron Martin, Slasher is a horror thriller television series. The series first premiered on Chiller on March 4, 2016, and got premiered on Super Channel on April 1, 2016. There have been four season of the series till date consisting in all 30 episodes. The fourth season consisting of eight episodes, was released on August 12, 2021. Let us see whether we are going to get a fifth season for this horror anthology series.
Release Date
As far as now, there have been no updates or confirmation regarding the renewal of the series for the fifth season. And neither there is any rush for the makers of the series to get us the fifth season soon, as such series need time to think over and need to be presented creatively. It’s all about the production and their decision regarding bringing back another season of the series. Each season of the series represents a unique and creative story.
Also, for production networks like Shudder, the fifth season would get canceled as the show is a kind of support for Shudder. Even though if Shudder does not want to network the show, there’s always some or the other network or provider ready. The Slasher has traveled a lot in case of this. There have not been any fine updates about the fifth season, but we may expect to get some updates regarding it soon. Let us look at the plot of the series and what is it exactly about
The Executioner
The first season is named as “The Executioner.” It centers around an unknown mysterious figure, called the executioner. The season follows a series of murders in a fictitious place named Waterbury, Canada.
Guilty Party
The second season is named “Guilty Party.” The second season’s storyfollows a former summer camp group returning to the resort where they had killed a lady and secretly hid her body. On returning to the resort, they realize that the body is not where they had hidden it. And now they are trapped in that place and each one of them is killed by a murderer.
Solstice
The third season is named as “Solstice.” A man who is a sex and drug addict is murdered by an unknown person wearing a costume. An year later, the same person wearing the same outfit appears and starts killing people who have any kind of doubts regarding the first person’s murder.
Flesh and Blood
The fourth season is named as “Flesh and Blood.” The story of the fourth season follows a rich family who plans a gathering on a remote island. During the gathering, their old memories and rivalries are remembered when they get to know they are trapped on an island with an unknown serial killer, and he is now going to kill each of them one by one.
These are the plots of each season, and we can expect something more returning to us if the series is renewed for the fifth season.
