Even the title of the upcoming Spider-Man movie came to light with much delay and theatrics as Spider-Man: No Way Home. What is more bizarre is the way it seems to play out and the details it includes that may shape the future of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). What happens in Spiderman 3 and the plotlines from the upcoming movie may be just the beginning of what Avengers 5 will be shortly.
Here are a few popular theories that have stemmed from the trailer and other fan speculations on the internet that may predict the upcoming stories in Avengers 5.
Peter is Stuck in a Different Universe
The short series like WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier are currently taking the fans for a spin and giving them something to rave about. But when the trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home came out, there have been several new speculations that the new movie will somehow include a different multiverse. This concept has been long coming, with Sony introducing this in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse quite a few years ago. The main plot may be Peter as part of another universe, even fighting side by side with a different Spiderman.
Peter is Trying to Escape
The end credits scene in Spider-Man: Far From Home revealed that Peter was being blamed for the death of Mysterio, popularly thought to be a hero. The true identity of Peter Parker also revealed. And now he has no other way but to run from the consequences that have now been dropped into his life. He may have chosen to lay low or flee from the place to escape the cropped-up problems.
Spiderman is in Jail
Taking the movie’s name in a literal sense. People start assuming that Peter may be put in prison and keep from going home. Although this does not seem like something that could last very long in the movie, given the powers and antics he usually uses, it is still an interesting factor to consider.
The Movie could be Happening in Space
As we see that Nick Fury operating the entire mission in the previous movie from the comfort of space and using a pair of Skrulls to look, act and play out his desires. The new movie could feature Spiderman going to space and helping Nick Fury in his new battles there while the pressure of his newly revealed identity and the crisis of killing a hero settle down.
Old Spidermen Trapped in this World
Although the cast and directors have vehemently dismissed this theory, it makes a lot of sense. Some fans speculate that Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature one or both of the old spidermen as they help mentor the newest Peter Parker. Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire made a huge impact in the early days of Spiderman. And bringing them back on screen would be an iconic way to pay tribute to the character.
The movie is premier in theatres on December 17, 2021. So get ready for one of the best movies yet, which will determine the course for one, but all of the characters in the future MCU.
