The crime thriller comedy season of outlaws season one was released this year, and it tells the story of different people who cross their path because of a community payback service in Bristol. Things start going wrong when they find a bag filled with money, only to realize later that they are being followed by a group of people.

Cast Details
Season one of Outlaws stars Christopher Walken as Frank, who is one of the most interesting characters out of the seven. Frank is living with his daughter, who hates him and thinks of him as a selfish old man. Stephen Merchant plays Greg, an unsuccessful lawyer whose wife left him. Rhianne Barreto plays the role of Rani, who is a studious Asian girl. Gamba Cole plays Christian, who is the ‘bad guy’ in the series.
Darren Boyd plays John, a wealthy businessman, Clare Perkins plays Myrna, an activist. Eleanor Tomlinson plays Lady Gabby, an influencer who is on an escape from the paparazzi but hides her emotional trauma under her obnoxious celebrity behavior. Jessica Gunning can be seen in the role of Diane, the supervisor for their community service.
For anyone who has watched Merchant’s directional debut movie called ‘Fighting with my family, it has a similar vibe to how the characters are portrayed in Outlaws. Even though it’s not the first time we see these ‘types’ of characters, it is well fit in the show and humanized by the cast exceptionally. Throughout watching the film, you will get to know each person, which will create a bond as if getting to know a stranger.
Where To Watch
The series was broadcast in the UK on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on October 25, 2021. However, for international viewers, it has been announced that the series will be released on Amazon Prime. The exact date of release is not yet announced.
Outlaws is not a newfound movie concept, but it will still manage to make you feel all the emotions the characters are feeling by making you a part of their journey. Flashback of each individual is shown to provide a solid foundation for the characters. It is definitely a good watch filled with silly dad jokes.
