Produced by Scott Rudin, Andrew Niccol, Edward S. Feldman, and Adam Schroeder, “The Truman Show” is an American psychological comedy movie. Released on June 1, 1998, the American movie was directed by Peter Weir and written by Andrew Niccol. The movie revolved around ‘Truman Burbank’ who was officially adopted by a big broadcast network in infancy.
The network had adopted him to cast him to make him the unwitting lead of a TV show which will broadcast his entire existence across the nation with the help of several hidden cameras. Excluding Truman, everyone else present in that artificial surrounding (created by the creator of the broadcasting network) head was an actor. Even the family he had was an actor group.
The broadcast network was completely determined to keep Truman in the dark till his last. The film further depicted; how even after several years of manipulation, the truth was revealed in front of Truman and how he managed to get out of that artificial world.

On the other hand, the film was rewarded with 95 percent positive reviews on rotten tomatoes. It also received 4 out of 5 stars on Common sense says.

Although the movie performed very well at the box office and turned out to be a blockbuster, one cannot deny that the content shown in the movie had been proven disturbing for many audiences.
For instance; A psychiatrist at Bellevue Hospital Centre unveiled about five patients who had schizophrenia and felt that their existence was pre-planned and monitored as a reality show. The disease was later termed “The Truman Show Delusion.”
