The British music chart TV show called Top of the Pops (TOTP) is a show made by the BBC and was initially on the screens every week from January 1, 1964, till July 30, 2006. After that, the show Top of the Pops became the longest-running music show that aired every week. When we look at most of its history, the show used to come out on the screens every Thursday evening on BBC One.
The episodes that came out every week featured that week’s best-selling famous music track and its performance. The music show used to count in a rundown of every week’s singles releases and did not include any release that went down the music chart. It was the main Top 20 feature of the show; however, it has changed a lot over the years. The Official Charts Co. announced how performing on the show was a matter of honor as it roped in almost all the big players.
