The recent news just spread a wave of shock among the fans of 5SOS as they learned that drummer Ashton Irwin recently suffered a medical emergency at his Texas concert. The concert attendees said that they saw Irwin being taken away from the stage as he collapsed behind his drum kit while performing their song Love of Mine. After the collapse, he was escorted backstage, followed by the concert being called off as announced by one of the crew members. 5SOS posted a statement the next morning after the concert on Instagram “As you may have heard, last night’s show ended early due to a medical incident during the show. Upon experiencing physical symptoms, Ashton was taken to a local hospital for tests and a medical review. As a result, it was advised Ashton had experienced extreme heat exhaustion. Thankfully and most importantly, he is feeling okay and recovering well. We apologise to all the fans in attendance for the show being cut short.” Followed by the incident, the bandmates announced that they will be postponing the Arkansas concert.

He added that he was suffering from heat exhaustion. He tweeted further and said, “I was in tears in the ambulance because I feel I’ve let many people down. I’m looking after myself and getting rest now.” He further added that he feels loved as he is being looked after by his brothers, team, and his fans. He further said that “this is the price a dehydrated drummer pays when he takes on Texas heat.”
