Ryan Grantham is a Canadian actor and model who is famous for his roles in The Wimpy Kid and Riverdale. Born in 1998 in Squamish, Grantham is currently twenty-four years old but he started his career in the film industry at the early age of nine years. He debuted on the big screen in 2007 in the television series The Secret of the Nutcracker.
In 2010, Ryan Grantham joined the cast of the movie based on the famous book series, Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Directed by Thor Freudenthal, the movie was an adaptation of the first installment of the series. Ryan Grantham played the role of Rodney in Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Apart from Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Ryan appeared in several other movies and shows that made up a significant part of his acting career. His fame was boosted when he played the role of Jefferey in the famous drama television series Riverdale. He also appeared in the paranormal TV series Supernatural for two episodes. He has done other films like Storm Cell, Becoming Redwood, iZombie, Falling Skies, Considering Love and Other Magic, Unspeakable, Way of The Wicked, Liz, etc. Ryan won the award for Best Male Actor for his role in the short film Liz at Young Artist Awards and Vancouver Short Film Festival.
Ryan Grantham’s Plans To Assassinate Justin Trudeau
On the 31st of March, 2020, Ryan Grantham killed his mother in their house. Ryan shot her mother, Barbara Wait from behind while she was playing the piano. Barbara was sixty-four years old when she died and was suffering from cancer. Grantham had later told the police that he killed his mother. The case was taken to the British Columbia Court where he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Ryan had recorded a video recording the dead body of his mother and him admitting that he committed the crime. The video was used as evidence which consequently resulted in the court’s decision against him.
Another discovery that recently came to light is that Ryan had planned to kill the Prime Minister of Canada after he had killed his mother. Ryan murdered her so that she would not have to witness the violence he was going to do. Ryan Grantham had it all planned- he had packed guns and ammunitions and Molotov cocktails and was set to take off to Ottawa where the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau resides along with his family. This assassination plan of his was revealed from a statement that was given by him and from his private diary when a segment of it was read in the court.
Ryan Grantham pleaded guilty to these crimes by himself but the Judge of the court still felt the need to conduct a proper inquiry and investigation. It was made sure that Ryan was not forced to make these statements. A two-degree murder comes with a sentence of ten to twenty-five years of imprisonment without parole. However, the prosecutors in Canada are demanding a sentence of seventeen to eighteen years.
