The 2006 American Epic history action movie e name 300 has once again come up in highlights for women’s watches waiting for some good movie to watch. The movie was inspired by the 1998 comic series that went by the same name and was written by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley. Both the film and the comic series are fictional read tales of stories of the clash of Thermopylae from the Persian Wars.

Is the American Movie 300 Based on True Events?

The Epic action film has been inspired by Frank Miller’s comic series that goes by the same name. The plot and cinematography of the movie have brought to wait for an audience from all across the globe.

Exactly like the comic series, the movie 300 shows the real Battle of Thermopylae and all the incidents that happened back then in 480 BC in ancient Greece. The movie has been greatly appreciated for perfectly showcasing the Epic historical event.

The 300 Storyline: What All Happens in the Movie?

The movie focuses on King Leonidas, who 300 Spartans follow into the clash against the Persian King Xerxes. The Persian king Xerxes brings onto the battlefield his army of about 300,000 soldiers. As the combat between the two armies resumes, Queen Gorgo tries to brace his husband in Sparta.

The movie runs with a voice-over narration done by the Spartan soldier Dilios. Many creatures are brought up throughout the historical fantasy film with this narrative storytelling.

Cast and Characters in 300: Who All are There?

In the lead role, we have Gerard Butler as Leonidas, King of Sparta, alongside David Wenham as Dilios, who is the narrator and Spartan soldier. Joining the two, Lena Headey is playing Queen Gorgo, Queen of Sparta, Giovanni Cimmino in the role of Pleistarchus, i.e., Leonidas’ son. Then there is Dominic West portraying Theron, with Vincent Regan as Captain Artemis and Tom Wisdom as Astinos.

Tom wisdom has had an impactful role in the film until his character dies. Other cast members include Andrew Pleavin as Daxos, the character joining Leonidas in the battle, Andrew Tiernan as Ephialtes, a deformed Spartan double-crosser, and Rodrigo Santoro playing King Xerxes, the obvious leader of the army opposite to Leonidas.

Not just them, other significant characters like the loyalist coma Stelios and Persian messenger have been played by Stephen McHattie, Michael Fassbender and Peter Mensah, respectively. Last but not least, we also see Kelly Craig in the role of Pythia.
