Elvis Presley, a legendary rock and roll superstar’s biopic Elvis, is slated to release on 24th June. The movie paints the picture of the star from his childhood to his adult stardom. Austin Butler, who will play Elvis, is a 30-year-old American actor, and another legend on the list is Tom Hanks, who will be seen as Elvis’s manager Colonel Tom Parker in the movie.
We already saw Austin in significant projects like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood by Quentin Tarantino in 2019. His natural southern smooth voice and resembling looks make him perfect for the Elvis biopic.
Initially, Ansel Elgort and Harry Styles were eyed for the role, but Austin took part and had time to develop his voice for singing in the movie. Austin explained to the Hollywood Reporter, “When I began the process, I set out to get my voice to be identical. That instills fear. So that got the fire burning. “For a year before we started shooting, I was doing voice coaching.”

Austin sings the young voice of Elvis in the movie. As the movie passes and the singer ages; Austin’s voice is mixed with the voice of Elvis to get as similar voice as possible; film director Baz Luhrmann decided to blend the actor’s voice with Elvis’s old tapes.

Is Austin Butler Playing Guitar In The Movie?
Butler sang well in the movie, but surprisingly he has been playing musical instruments such as guitar and piano since age 13. He learned to play them all by himself, just like Elvis. In an interview, he revealed to the Variety that he played guitar so much when he was a child that his fingers bled; and he super glued them.
Butler had the opportunity to show his musical talent when he appeared as a guest on Are You There, Chelsea?, an NBC comedy. He was a central character and love interest in the 3rd episode of the show Also he played on television and had more than 17 years of experience in singing and playing; he expressed his nervousness when he recorded for the movie.
Austin said to Variety that he hesitated initially while getting onto the stage in front of 600 people in the glimmering jumpsuit and resembling the king while filming.
“I learned that Elvis was timid as a kid,” Austin explained, “and he would ask people to turn around when he played the guitar and turn off the lights in the room.
“And I thought, that’s how I feel now. But he overpowered that,” and so did Austin.
Elvis was a big-time classical fan, and in 2016, Priscilla, his ex-wife; informed Rolling Stone that Elvis had always adored good vocalists. She also said that they frequently discussed his interest in recording content that granted him to sing in that surrounding.
