From childhood to adulthood, Jurassic Movies have always held our hand. Steven Spielberg’s original 1993 Jurassic Park is widely regarded as one of the best movies of all time. This led to the birth of one of the biggest franchises in the history of cinema. After 2015’s box office hit, the once quiescent movie franchise led its way back to everyone’s hearts. To continue the legacy, Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World 3: Dominion has its paws ready for the world and is the “culmination of six films.”
After the jaw-dropping ending of Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom in 2018, fans couldn’t wait longer to see what’s next. As a result, a tiny teaser for Dominion was released before Fast and Furious nine only for IMAX.
Official Release Date
The new movie was supposed to hit theatres on June 11, 2021. Still, as Covid-19 forcefully halted filming and production for film and tv shows worldwide, Jurassic World: Dominion was not an exception. As filming began in February 2020 and wrapped in November 2020, the new release date was delayed for a year, and the movie is now slated to hit theatres on June 10, 2022.
Expected Storyline
The new movie will pick up where 2018 ended with Isla Dunbar, the primary location destroyed by a volcano; the dinosaurs have been set free into the modern world of humans in Northern California. The new movie will be set in present-day 2022, after the Fallen Kingdom, set in 2019.
A short film titled “Battle At Big Rock,” released in 2019, will be the connecting link between the second and third movies. This 10-minute film features a family vacationing but trapped because of a battle between two powerful creatures, an Allosaurus and a Triceratops. Another few scenes show us a glimpse of how the world has changed and the involvements of the Jurassic Beasts.
The new movie will help wrap up the entire Jurassic universe but isn’t necessarily the last movie from the franchise. It will also include Owen and Claire building a family among themselves with the little girl they helped rescue Maisie, who, as it turns out, is a clone. So there might be a lot of consequential cloning, whether it be of humans or dinosaurs. Director Colin Trevorrow explains the new movie as “a science thriller in the same way as Jurassic Park (1993).”
Expected Cast and Characters
The stars from the 2018 sequel and the original 1993 will all come back for Jurassic World 3. The film will feature two groups, one of the 90s cast and one of the newer cast, in different situations which will eventually cross paths.
Set 1 Includes
- Chris Pratt as dinosaur researcher and velociraptor trainer Owen Grady
- Bryce Dallas Howard as leader of the Dinosaur Protection Group Claire Dearing
Set 2 Includes
- Sam Neill as paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant
- Laura Dern as paleobotanist Dr. Ellie Sattler

In addition, there will be the latest cast developments with Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise, Dichen Lachman, and Scott Haze playing new characters that haven’t been made known to the public yet. Finally, Campbell Scott will play businessman Lewis Dodgson, the antihero for Jurassic World: Dominion.
Is Jurassic World 3 Trailer out?
An official trailer hasn’t been released yet. However, a five-minute preview was available for moviegoers that watched the ninth installment of the Fast and Furious movies in IMAX. We see mosquitoes collecting Dinosaur DNA 65 million years ago will later create the treacherous theme park. The preview then transitioned into the condition of the park in 2022, where Dinosaurs roam freely.
