This is an upcoming movie in sequence to the earlier Ghostbusters movies. Jason Reitman directs this. As the name suggests, it is supposed to be a scary movie, but it isn’t entirely focused on scaring the audience. Instead, it’s a supernatural comedy film. The first Ghostbusters movie was released in 1984, the second in 1989. The period between the second and the third is long! Almost 30 years! Well, this might look like they never wanted to work on the next movie, or maybe they lacked content.
Or they were planning something huge this time. Well, regardless of the period, we’re just glad that it’s coming back to our screens again. The cast members from the earlier movies have passed away, and hence in 2019, the cast for this movie was selected and announced. The changes in the release date are numerous. But with the global pandemic working off-screen, we couldn’t demand an explanation. The movie is based on a woman who was looking after her kids all by herself. She was forced to change her residence and live in a farmhouse that belonged to her father–in–law.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife Release Date
This much-awaited movie was about to be released in 2020, but we’re aware of the downfall faced by all the sectors due to the pandemic. As a result, most of the plans were canceled and delayed. Amongst them were some movies and series which could have helped people to spend their time back at home a little peacefully but maybe that was too much to ask for.
It was scheduled to be out in July 2020, but it was shifted to March next year. Even that didn’t happen as the pandemic didn’t allow this to happen. So from March, it was shifted to November 2021. We hope that there’s no shifting of dates shortly.
What could be the Plot of this Movie?
We can expect the movie to continue the earlier movies as it is closely related to it. It derives its roots from the 1984 and 1989 movies. It is destined to pick right from the place where it left 30 years ago! The sentence itself sends chills down the spine. The story will be continued after 30 years—that too, from where it was left.
This story about a mother who manages her two kids all by herself is as tricky as it sounds with a teenage son and a young daughter. They are shifting to a new place. Firstly, there is too much pressure on the mother to bring up these two kids by herself. Catering to their needs and now going to a new place. It’s equally challenging for the kids here to manage them, and it’s hard for them to adapt to this place.
Will the kids manage what they’re about to face? Because they would be going to their grandfather’s place, are they ready to take up the family business?
