A movie that depicts the screenplay at its best. It contains a lot of cliche scenes but is obligatory at the same time, which is far more engaging than the other movie. This movie leads to one of the hero’s acquaintances becoming his buddy, then his critic, and later arrival, making the story go wild.
The Plot of the Movie
The movie follows the story of a boy named Tommy Callahan, a shoe manufacturer’s son. His father is proud of his son even though he has a brilliant history. He even managed to pass his college in seven years, but his father has well fed him as he provides him with a big office and huge responsibilities when he comes back to his place, Ohio. Along with this, many different stories are going on in his father’s life to who is named big Tom.
In another turn of events, he discovers that he has a brother named Paul, which he excitingly welcomes because he always dreamt of having a brother full stop doubts about anything that can be done in standard, but Tommy proves him wrong. Some fun scenes are added in the movie to make it look exciting, but not much could be done from the director’s side.
Another turn of events starts when this movie starts presenting some cliche ideas like a dumb son returns back to his family business and finds an unexpected stepmother on the way. The company gets in trouble, and all the workers start losing their job, which makes the kid work harder to save the company, again some trouble. Eventually, a happy picture is presented to the end.
Whether to Watch it or Not?
In total, one thing can be said about the fact that there are very less funny and interesting scenes that would highlight this movie. There are no such memorable or classic lines that would make it more exciting. more than the main lead, the enigmatic lead played by Rob Lowe attracts the viewers more. Watching this movie would be your decision to make as it is not much of a classic or a movie that would excite you to the end.
