Apart from the title and release date of the movie, every other detail has been kept under wraps.
What are the Plot Details of Knock at the Cabin?
Considering that no insights are available about the plot or characters, one can at the moment just speculate what the movie can be about. The hint definitely lies in the title. One can assume that it consists of a cabin-like structure in the plot. But, predicting further would be like shooting aimless arrows. As of now, no trailer for the movie. Shyamalan has not dropped any footage for ‘Knock at the Cabin’ yet. The movie had entered into development status in September 2019, and in October 2021, it entered the pre-production status. Further Details About the Movie
Peter Cramer, who serves as the President of Universal Pictures, calls Shyamalan a master filmmaker at the peak of his working capabilities, which gives them the honor to collaborate with him. Shyamalan is self-financing the movie and will be receiving a larger profit check, and it goes successfully. Universal Pictures and Shyamalan had started a collaboration back in 2015 with his movie The Visit.
It then included other movies, namely Split, Glass, and the recent release, Old. After the release of The Visit, Shyamalan revealed that he is enjoying the minimal approach and the bigger tonal risk in the movies. The notes in the thriller flicks consist of dark humor and absurdity and are still grounded. He continued this trend in his film, Old, which may possibly continue into ‘Knock at the Cabin’ too.
Shyamalan, in an interview, had revealed he felt strongly about this movie. He has ideas, and he wants to commit two years of writing and to direct them and bring them to what he desires them to be. Knock at the Cabin will get its theatrical release on February 3, 2023.
