The Friction in the Plot
Olivia is one of the single females in L.a. who wash houses and make a go of it. Franny is a homemaker with a substantial trust fund, Christine is a tv writer, Jane is a clothing designer, plus their spouses are among her rich pals. Whereas the socioeconomic discrepancy between Olivia and her pals causes some tension, each lady deals with her own set of problems. Olivia is unable to find either romance or finance.
Franny’s fortune can generate friction with her accountant husband, who enjoys spending it. Christine’s wedding is on the verge of disintegration. Jane is becoming more obnoxious as she fails to grow old. The ladies visit charitable events collectively, eat lunch around each other, lean on each other, and navigate life around each other.
