What Is It About?
Lackey Markie runs a card game that was planned to rob by Johnny Amato, where a low-priced gangster was hired whose name was Frankie to complete the work. An ideal partner who was average was picked by Frankie to finish the job with him. They did not go well together but they somehow were able to get the money from the mob.
As a result of all these Jackie Cogan was hired by Markie’s boss as a retaliation. The character of Jackie Cogan was played by Brad Pitt who is a mob enforcer.
Critics Review
The movie does not have anything new to be very honest. The style of the storytelling was not very conventional. The style of the movie was a little bit of Quentin Tarantino style. The movie can literally confuse the audience.
It is average with a rating of 6.2/10 on IMDb and an amazing cast. This movie is cruel and it also showed a lot of blood, exposing a lot of America’s troubled side. The movie did not deal with the crimes where the civilians were involved.
The screen presence of the actors like Brad Pitt, Gandolfini was really mesmerizing and their charisma was just out of the world. Though, they have done much better roles in the past which may make us think that this was not their best performance.
