Adventure Beast Season 1, Netflix’s brand new series that turns Bradley Trevor Grieve into a cartoon, isn’t strange. Bradley is an author who writes on nature, and he came into public notice in the 2000s. In this show, BTG plays the cartoon version of himself, and the good thing is that he doesn’t take himself solemnly at all.

ToggleThe Plot of Adventure Beast
In the opening scenes of the show, we see a shot of our planet with Ethiopia mentioned. After this, heads of ostriches are seen with a graphic- Ethiopian Foothills mentioned. BTG, a veteran explorer, is conducting a study on the parasitic census. To do that, he needs stool samples of various animals. Using the stool samples, he needs to study parasites residing in the fecal material.

Our man BTG is dressed as an ostrich. As we know that ostriches share a symbiotic relationship with the zebras so, he is trying to investigate one of those zebras until he is cut on by Dietrich’s (played by Josh Zuckerman) shriek. Dietrich is bordered by bees and is very frightened of the flying hypodermic needles. He is most terrified by nature, and that’s the reason he has survived as BTG’s assistant.
All of his past assistants (whose names strangely rhymed) had died in a horrible manner. This is Boonie’s (BTG’s niece, played by Danice Cabanela) first adventure along with her uncle. Boonie is there to prove to her uncle that now she is an adult and can handle tasks and make good decisions too. She brought too much stuff with herself, including a tranquilizer. This is when a flashback is shown.
In the flashback, we see the time of 30 years ago when BTG used to be a top paratrooper in Australia. The twist is that instead of taking care of the people, he is looking after the tigers. He thinks that if you need a gun to escape a situation, then there’s something incorrect. The story of how Dietrich ended up becoming his assistant and Bonnie’s past adventures are also shown.
Our Take on Adventure Beast
BTG is seen performing things like grasping anuses of animals to disguising himself as an animal seems pretty funny and proves that he doesn’t shy away. Watching all this surely lands one in gags. He has survived situations that could lead to the death of most people. The fact that all his past assistants’ names rhyme (who now are dead) is also quite funny. Then, there is a nature-hating assistant and a niece who is trying to prove herself.
Audiences will surely learn some interesting facts about wildlife like the size of eyes of both ostrich and elephant is the same. We bet that you didn’t know that. Get ready to learn some more interesting facts like these.
