Initially, the show was called ‘Folk med ångest,’ a Swedish comedy show. In English, the series is known as ‘Anxious People.’ The show has taken inspiration from Fredrik Backman’s novel that highlights a weird event taking place in an open house.
The series shows a robber who fails to rob a bank and takes a lot of strangers as hostages while locking himself up in someplace. It all turns topsy-turvy when the police reach the place to catch the robber.
So What Actually Happened in the Story?
The surprising yet obvious fact is that only the hosted is who I know what to place and where the robber went. However, when asked to testify by the police, the hostages give testimonies that don’t match. The place where the robber holds the strangers as hostages is where the entire plot originates. The question that comes up now is whether there will be a season 2 to the show.
Anxious People Season 2 Release Date: Will the Show have a Second Season?
The show’s first season hit the screens on December 29, 2021, on Netflix. Season 1 came out with a total of six episodes that run for an average of 30 minutes. With the story so far, fans have been quite doubtful about an upcoming season for the show. Until now, the director of the series has not made any public announcement for renewing the show.
But, the series has definitely brought out a positive reaction from watchers since its very release this week. For now, we cannot say if there will be a season 2 but let’s just hope for the best.
Cast and Characters
The series brings to the audience in lead role actor Leif Andree playing the role of Roger, with Marika Lagercrantz as Anna-Lena and Per Andersson portraying Lennart. Then we have actors Anna Granath, Elina Du Rietz, and Dan Ekborg in the roles of Zarah, Linda and Jim, respectively. Accompanying them, there’s Alfred Svensson as Jack and Lottie Ejebrant for the character of Estelle in this hit show.
Where did the Filming Take Place?
Undoubtedly, a majority of the show comes from Stockholm. The series was shot in Södertälje, in Sweden. The central part of the city was taken into the scenes to a wide extent, including the streets of Nygatan, Badhusgatan, and Järnagatan. The famous scene of a bank robbery was also filmed here. The apartment where the robber took people, hostages stands on Järnagatan street.
