A Connection that will make you bound to go deep in the folded and cremated mystery and make you unearth it because you are obsessed with finding the truth. When I mention Connection, most of you will think of your soulmates, that can be a possibility, however, the mystery becomes more thrilling and dramatic when there is a blood relation, a family bond involved in that deepest darkest secrets. Sometimes people tend to hide the secrets which can cause the deepest wounds internally when uncovered. It’s better to Let Sleeping Dogs Lie. However, teenagers have that strange adrenaline rush to dig deeper and the same happens in this Story “Blood and Water”.

Written and Directed by Nosipho Dumisa-Ngoasheng (called and pronounced as Nosipho Dumisa), Daryne Joshua, and Travis Taute, the Blood and Water franchise is categorized under the category of Teen-Crime Drama, Thriller, Mystery, which is developed by Gambit Films exclusively for Netflix Video Streaming Giant. Blood and Water Series has been indexed with an IMDB rating of 6.4/10 and received 80% of Rotten Tomatoes. Volume 1 Blood and Water was released on 20th May 2020. Starring Amamkele Qamata ( as Puleng Khumalo), Khosi Ngema (as Fikile/ Phumlele), and Gail Mabalane (as Thandeko Khumalo) in the lead roles and another cast as recurring and guest characters.

The story starts with a little girl Puleng who lost her twin sister who was dreadfully kidnapped by some human traffickers for trafficking. Some Years later, Puleng attended a party whose host was Fikile Bhele. Fikile was a well-known and distinguished athlete who was also studying in the same prestigious school named Parkhurst College, in Cape Town where Puleng got admission. The Aftermath of Fikile’s party was strange and awkward for Puleng and she developed more skepticism and became more curious about Fikile as she was cynical of her and thought her to be her long-lost sister. She digs deep and doesn’t stop until she finally unearths the mystery of her kidnapped sister Phumlele. As I said Let the Sleeping Dogs Lie or they won’t make you fall asleep and might bite you as well. The Same happened with Puleng. During her investigation, she found something which ended the mystery as well as her investigation. She came to know that Fikile is her blood-related sister who was abducted years ago and the secret was hidden from her by her family, relatives, and acquaintances.
