The film is directed by Clare Knight and Harry Cripps and written by Greg Lessans along with Harry Cripps. Akiva J. Goldsman will be the executive producer, and Reel FX Animation Studios, Weed Road Pictures, and Netflix Animation are the producers.

Expected Plot
Back to the Outback is a story about small animals who live in a zoo. They are tired of being in a zoo where humans stare at them as if they are monsters. They want to get out of the zoo and plans to escape from that zoo to the outback. They will have full freedom to do anything in the outback, and nobody will stare or glare at them.
Maddie (a snake) will be the head of the plan and will lead the group, and other creatures involved in the plan are Zoe (a lizard), Frank (a spider), Nigel (a scorpion). And a pretty boy also joins their plan to escape. After moving out of the zoo, they started their journey towards Australia and were chased by the zoo owner.
