After Kristen Bell’s joke about bathing her kids plunged Hollywood hygiene into the toilet bowl, she says she had lost a lot of faith in the human race.
How Kristen Expressed Her Feelings?
The 41-year-old actress expressed her feelings on Entertainment Tonight’s Thursday episode. In the episode, she stated that she thought to herself that America isn’t going to dig deep into this and demand all the data on how frequently people bathe, right?
Because there are many more significant issues to look upon. She added that it was amusing when they started getting questions about it and the interviewees had no idea Dax’s show was the one that started the questioning.
There was a room full of four comedians, Monica Padman, Dax, Mila Kunis, and Ashton Kutcher, who were just normally joking about bathing, and then the rest of the world took it seriously.
How the Bathing Debate Started?
Recently in July, Kunis said on Shepard and Padman’s “Armchair Expert” podcast that she didn’t wash her children every day. This prompted Kutcher to say, if you can see the filth on them, clean them, otherwise, it’s pointless.
Bell and Shepard later appeared on “The View,” where they joked that they don’t bathe their children, Lincoln, who is 8 years old, and Delta, who is 6 years old until they “stink.” The actress explained that once they get a smell, biology tells them that they need to clean their children up.
She also said that there’s a warning sign, or it’s simply bacteria. They have to tell their children to get in the tub or the shower once they pick up bacteria and then bathe them. This statement given by Kristen and her husband started to get to the public, who then criticize the duo for not bathing their children often.
