It was announced on the Netflix Geeked account stating, “Netflix, 2K, and Take-Two Interactive are partnering to produce a film adaptation of the renowned video game franchise BioShock”. Netflix is betting big for the movie because game adaptations have always been great movies and series.
We can take the recent example of the Witcher series here, which has had two successful seasons with fans wanting more of the series. The BioShock movie is also expected to do wonders on Netflix with good direction and storyline. A game named the same is also in development, and no details about the same have been disclosed yet.

What is the BioShock Series Actually About?
The protagonist of the BioShock game series was Jack, who faced an airplane crash in the ocean and came in contact with the giant underwater world of Rapture. The underwater city was peaceful until the discovery of ADAM, which is a genetic material that grants superhuman powers. The quest to find the ADAM by different fractions of good and bad guys living underwater created chaos in the supposed utopian city.
The game is all about Jack’s journey through all the odds to find an escape for himself. The game was released in 2007 and was made available in Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360.
